I have been eating here for years and the food is great but you will not get napkins, silverware, water, etc….. even if you ask sometimes. the servers never check on you during your meal and they do not allow you to tip. if there is no tip incentive then why would the servers want to work hard??
Best pizza in Athens. Only open one day a week (Friday) for about four hours. If you want to be seated immediately and not wait forever for your food, go early (right when they open) or late. The place is small and popular, so it always fills up fast. The pizza is excellent. Much better than anything else you can get in Athens, even the much-beloved Avalanche. The dough and crust are light and crisp, and the freshness of the ingredients always shines through. Skip the appetizers. Great service has never been their strongest suit, but I really don’t care when the food is this good.
Sat for a loooong time before having my order taken. No napkins came with the pizza when it was brought to the table so I just ended up wiping my greasy fingers on my jeans (as no one checked on us mid-meal). The pizza crust was good, but I will take Avalanche over Della Zona any day. I like the concept of all local; I just would have preferred better service.
Waited half an hour for them to take our order. Bad service.
Love this place! Great food, original pizza ideas, even provides a rice substitute so people who don’t eat wheat have an option. Small place and doesn’t take reservations, but well worth the wait.
