When you enter Ginger, you are greeted by low lights, a beige, red, dark wood color scheme, and music being played at a moderate level. The dining area is sectioned off to the left which guides you to the ordering area in the back. When ordering, there are flat screen televisions displaying the menu in relaxed colors. Depending on what you order, a bowl or a sushi plate, you go down the line to the register, so youre exposed to the sights and smells of the food being prepared behind the glass. If you order a bowl, you choose your rice, vegetables, meat, sauce, and then toppings, very similar to chipotle. If you opt for sushi, you by pass the food line and go straight to the register and place your order for your choice of sushi, of which they have a variety of options. Everything is made in a container that can easily be made to go, even if you decide to dine in. And they have online ordering in case youre in a hurry and need to pick up and leave. When you turn away from the register, an island for drinks, container lids, napkins, and utensils is a few feet behind you. As you exit with your food, there are a few tables off to your left or the main dining area off to your right, but before the main dining area is a set of stairs that go down. If you decide to wonder down there, its a little Asian market. Its full of candies and teas, but also frozen foods and meats that are at affordable prices. Any college student could walk in and easily put together a meal for under $15, depending on the choices made. I ordered Alaskan, which is salmon, cucumber, and avocado; and Philadelphia, which is smoked salmon, cream cheese, and avocado. With tax, I only paid about $10 without a drink, and I received two different rolls, with six pieces each, and crab rangoons which is a mix of crab meat and cream cheese thats wrapped in a wonton, then fried. After I ordered, I was given a little object that would light up and vibrate when my food was ready. I only had to wait five or six minutes to be notified and received my food. I chose to dine in, staying in the main dining area. The quality of food I received was more than what I was expecting given how much I paid. The fish was all fresh and well prepared, my rolls stayed together very well as I was using chopsticks to eat, and it was filling. The rangoons were very crunchy, but a little under stuffed for my taste. Overall, its a snazzy and relaxed dining experience that caters well to the college crowd, both in price and quality of food.

I have been to this place at least 3-4 times now. It’s nice and affordable. The food is decent, not great. The portions are big enough. Not a bad place at all for a regular lunch. Their food bowls are great and very healthy. I have tried their sushi too and it’s nice.

Fast and Affordable. This is a great place for a quick bite near campus. It’s affordable and tasty. I have tried the bowls and the sushi. Neither are 5 star, but both are decent. The peanut avocado sushi is positively addicting. The bowls are huge for the price.

The service was extremely rude. The food was cold, seemed like it was from earlier in the day. I don’t recommend Ginger to anyone unless you want to waste your money.
