Poor customer service. Food is good but customer service is terrible. Last time I was there for lunch the owner told me it was a $10 minimum charge when using my credit card and asked if I had any other way to pay. I didn’t so he made sure I knew for next time. Came off like a real cheapskate. Also, the servers have no personality. I’d say that if the owner treats his staff like he treats customers, then they are probably miserable to be there. I probably won’t be going back.

Great food.. Lam’s Garden does have great food at great prices. Eater beware! If you are allergic to oysters do not eat here. They do not tell you on the menu that the food is cooked in oysters.

Worst Chinese Dinner Ever. Our family hadn’t been to Lam’s in several years but we thought that we would give it a try on a weeknight. In addition to soup, my husband and I both ordered Lam’s Chicken while my daughters shared an order of shrimp lo mein.The restaurant wasn’t crowded (maybe a total of 10-12 other diners) yet we were surprised when our entrees came out within five minutes of our soup. Unfortunately… the Lam’s Chicken was tough and dry. We both agreed that it tasted as though it had been pre cooked and reheated. Everything else was typical greasy Chinese fair. We definitely won’t be going back, as there are plenty of other good Chinese offerings in Athens.
Awesome Chinese food. When we go out to eat in Athens we eat at Lam’s Garden half the time and every place else the other half!! I live in the area and have eaten here since they opened on Union Steet where the old Hop Sing’s was!! Get the house special dinner and Ho Yo Gui Po. Can’t go wrong!
