Bad sushi. Don’t get the sushi! My roommate and I are from the east coast and we went to liu liu on their sushi tuesday on the recommendation of pretty much everyone around here. Pretty brutal-too much rice, had to chew the fish, did not taste fresh, etc. My roommate’s was quite slimy. There were big blobs of wasabi hidden under the sashimi slices on top of the rice- quite the unpleasant surprise! Stear clear.
More hit than miss. Every place has it’s ups and downs, and LUI LUI is no different. For me it is more hit than miss, and I would recommend giving it an honest shot. It’s a respectable little spot, that has a lot of potential to win you over as a regular.
Athens fine dining experience.. I had the Grilled Salmon with Red Curry sauce. I thought it could have been spicier- it was still very tasty! I had an overall pleasant experience and keep this locale in mind for special occasions. I have been here a few times recently, Fall/Winter 2011, and they have never failed me. It was comfortable and casual, my waitress was very nice and accommodating to my picky requests, and it all left me very satisfied and full.Perfect for intimate dinners and business/casual sit-down lunches.
Unremarkable. I was just at this restaurant in January, 2011. Maybe it was a bad night but I had the indonesian shrimp salad. They forgot the shrimp but they didn’t forget the fried onions on the top (which were actually onion rings). Paper placemats, indifferent staff. I won’t be going back.

Lui Lui Restaurant is Great!. I eat at this restaurant frequently. The food is tasty, healthy, and reasonably priced. The owner Jade is warm and welcoming and sometimes gives us treats! Tuesday night is Sushi night and the sushi is good. This is my favorite Athens restaurant.
