Eh…. about what I expected for a college bar food style restaurant. Not a fan of the Spinach Artichoke Dip, the pita chips were deep fried and greasy. The Spinach Dip was oily and really only tasted of garlic. Ordered the black bean burger which was so, so. It lacked flavor but the bun was toasted nicely. I ordered it with no onions but it came with onions. Paid the bill and was given all 5s for change, the waitress said that’s all they had. Service was ok, not the greatest, not the worst.
THE worst food I have had in a looooong time. The burgers are OK, but I got some wings and they were horrible, and don’t even bother with the fried pickles, they’re horrible. And this is also just a really bad bar as well as good place.
It’s the new BEST BURGER in Athens combine a couple menu items at pigskin: the Brew burger and Sunny Side burger. 8oz burger seared with a barley and hops dry rub, topped with bacon, porter beer cheese, and an egg sunny side up.
My favorite Athens bar!. I love the Pigskin and I can be found there at least once a week. They have great BBQ, interesting drinks (be careful with the black widows!) and great prices. I’ve always had great service, even on busy weekends. My favorite foods are the boneless wings and the new mozarella sticks–sooo good! Check out the Pigskin, you won’t be disappointed.
