Worst Indian food ever in whole of east side.. serioisly not even close to Indian… please avoid this place if you are an Indian cuisine lover.. frozen food at kroger tastes more authentic.. above all.. worst service… and the attitude of people at restaurant makes you hate the food (even if food itself is bad ever)
Amazing!. Quite literally the best food place in athens, ohio. The food is rich in flavor and variety! I dream about this place, no joke. If I could have this indian cuisine for every meal I would. The price is a bit steep but compared to other indian restaurants I’ve ventured to, it’s a good price. MUST experience ! I love Star of India so much, just talking about it makes me hungry.
You’d be better off eating at home.. I was really disappointed with the dinner menu. My friend got a chicken dish while I got a vegetarian curry. The vegetables were obviously from a frozen bag, and I’m guessing they were heated in a microwave because they were lukewarm when served. I’m willing to bet the sauces were prepackaged as well. The only thing I enjoyed was the rice, which was probably the only fresh food on the plate. I’m sorry to say this because our server was very nice, and the place looked fine, but I resent the price that they charged me for a frozen meal I could have gotten at Krogers or Walmart.
Fairly average Indian food, sometimes limited portions on the dinner menu. The best and only Indian food in Athens. Timely service and take out.
Not bad for small town Indian food. This isn’t the best Indian food I’ve ever had, but for a small town Indian restaurant it isn’t bad. The lunch buffet is seven or eight bucks, so you really can’t beat that. While I enjoy the Indian buffet in Columbus more, I always go to the Star of India when I’m in Athens at lunch time. Also, the woman who is always working the place when I go is very friendly.
Awesome lunch buffet. Different dishes daily.
