Went here with friends and the food was exceptional! All of the food was tasty, used quality ingredients, and the flavors were well-balanced. My friend who is half Greek himself really liked this place too, and it’s definitely the best Greek I’ve had in the area.
Menu is written poorly. The food portions are small compared to the price. The a avgolemono was brown with fennel in it. The decor isn’t Greek. Good luck coming here. Count me out
A great westside establishment.. Peter aka Taki is a wonderful restaurateur. He also owns RUE 254 in Avon. Go here and let them recommend an appetizer. The pasta and and ribeye dishes were fabulous. We can’t say enough good things.
Nice restaurant, wife & I visited on a saturday night, was asked if we had reservations….Probably a good recomendation on weekends. We were immediatly seated on patio, petfect on a summer night. Kelly was our server, very polite, knew the menu.I had the moussaka, it was decent.food was not what we were expecting after reading reviews.worth checking out though.
Greek Treat!. Exceptional menu, attentive service, fun ambiance… except for one tiny thing… the background music was irritating, thumpy and downright distracting from the great food adventure that Taki’s brings to Avon Lake.Where is Zorba when you need him?
My boyfriend and I went to Taki’s last night and it was fabulous! We had a great server and amazing food. I got the chicken pita with Greek fries. Best Tzatziki Sauce! My boyfriend got the chicken and said the sauce was great. It was reasonably priced but we splurged for an app of flaming cheese and dessert of baklava with ice cream. The owner/chef came to the table to ask about our food. We will definitely be going back soon.
Mostly Great!. Fantastic ambiance and very accomodating staff. Our waiter (Matt, I believe) was very attentive and had great knowledge of all the menu items. We started with the trio of dips, calamari and saganaki. All were wonderful and delicious – definitely above average and very good. We split the lamb burger for dinner and had a delicious flavor with the tzatiki and feta cheese. The only downfall of the meal was dessert. Both the yogurt cake and baklava missed the mark by a lot. Yogurt cake tasted mostly like a dry pound cake however, the figs that topped it were delicious. The baklava was a little over baked and not as ‘juicy’ as I have had before. For good baklava, go to Lorain’s Gyros and More (seriously, I know, but seriously, it is beyond fantastic).We will be back but will probably skip dessert.
