This place is very homey. I’m not sure if it is authentic Amish, but the food was plentiful and good. The liver and onions was just that, nothing added. Alas, nothing to add. I would have liked the onions a bit browner but a huge slice of beef liver. The side of onion rings were very good; not greasy, crunchy and golden brown. I like the Amish potato cakes very much, even grilled black in spots, these were good. The cherry pie was very good too.

Great food, really. Even better cook. Those waitresses look like little harlots though. I should smack the one that took care of me with a clog!
Love your food. My husband and i really like the food here, when we just go out this way for a long drive we stop here to eat, LOVE their food, their are so many different foods to choose from. keep up the good food and cleanless about the place. every year we also for our birthdays get a card for 1 free meal and make sure we take it up their and use it. lol but i did want to say this year as of september i didnt get one and couldnt figure out why?
I often visit this restaurant and have never been disappointed with the culinary skill. My favorite meal choice is the turkey dinner and fixings! Ask for cranberry. Fresh brewed Mint tea is a must! I have now added this stop to include overnight stay to also enjoy the breakfast buffet which is excellent. My only wish and desire is that they add the option of style of eggs with buffet. Along with a request of lower sodium on the chicken preparation. As poultry is a specialty of the Amish style cuisine it’s a shame to spoil it with high sodium content.03 Jul, 2012Traveling through Mansfield Ohio area stopped along the I-70 exit 165 onto ramp right on state 97 to Dutch Heritage right next to the Comfort Inn can’t miss it today we tried the breakfast buffet it was excellent. Although I was a little disappointed that the option of fresh basted eggs was not included. The buffet was still the best way to go it was superb ! Highly recommend !!
Consistantly good food and bad service. From my first visit I was hooked on the food! Being buffet wary I was delighted to have my hot food hot and cold food cold! I love the salad variety! Desserts look inviting but never have any room left to try one. I have over 35 years of restaurant experience from managing to cooking to serving. I don’t understand why places with such a good solid product drop the ball on training servers. Always an uncomfortable wait time for my server to appear for a drink order. Refills? Good luck! If there are dirty tables around me when I arrive, they are still dirty when I leave. The first 3 times I was there we had to ask for bread several times. You serve yourself so it’s more a matter of drink refills and prebussing. Last time and I do mean LAST, my guests and I sat there with empty glasses and a pile of dirty dishes watching our server and another talk and totally ignore the customers and dirty tables. Really embarrassed me as I insisted my friends try this place out. Thanks to the bad attitude of your servers, you’ve lost 3 regular customers and 4 potential new ones. Such a shame!!!
The food quality has gone down. It’s better than a Golden Corral, but worse than a Home Town Buffet. They’re pies are not home made – they just put pie filling in a crust. It’s just not the quality home made food you would expect from the Amish reputation they’re trying to copy.
Good home style food.. This is a home style buffet with traditional foods like chicken, mashed potatoes, beans, noodles and others. The dining room is nice and spacious. There is a bakery in the lobby selling pies and brownies. The noodles at Der Dutchman in Plain City, OH are better and thicker than the noodles here. The is best place to eat in the Mansfield, OH area.
