I’ve recently transplanted from Buffalo, and since moving to rural Ohio, it’s been difficult to find good pizza/sub joints in these smaller towns. However, my gf and I agreed we found a hidden gem in Fast Eddie’s; worth the half hour drive from Mount Vernon. It’s a cozy dine-in option, but the restaurant is clean and the food was very tasty. Bonus, cheesy garlic bread served while you wait. Appropriately, I ordered the Buffalo Chicken Sub (see pic). I’m not sure what especially makes it Buffalonian, but I enjoyed the seasoning nonetheless. Dinner for two with appetizer and two drinks is about $25 after tax and tip.
Parmesan Garlic wings fantastic. I usually like hot wings but the Parmesan Garlic ones here are like pure butter. Anytime I am up at Mohican State park this is a must on the way home. No beer though but you can BYOB on the front outdoor area so that makes it cheaper. I have to add to get the broccoli salad at under $2 it is so tasty with bacon in the mix and you can never go wrong with bacon.
