Our group stumbled across this place while traveling thru Ohio. People were very friendly and wait staff was good. I had a huge chef salad and I mean huge. If I went back I’d get a small. Husband had the meatloaf which he said was good. Other couple had a taco salad and a burger. Said the Taco salad actually had flavor and tons of meat. The burger was huge as well and said he was glad he didn’t order the double. All in all a great place.
The special was a frozen chicken fried steak puck with powdered mashed potatoes and powdered gravy with tasteless white bread on the side combined with slightly browning side salad and packaged dressing. Enough to leave me completely dissatisfied but with a full stomach. Not recommended; should have gone to McDonald’s across the street.
Not as good as other reviews said. Might be the fact we had lunch. I had the taco salad which was ok, the meat was a little greasy and the lettuce used was iceberg. My son had the bacon cheeseburger and he said the burger was like meatloaf meat and the fries were greasy. My husband had the side salad which was filled with wilted iceberg lettuce and hardly much else. He also had the chicken salad sandwich on a croissant. He said it tasted like coleslaw and hardly had any chicken in it which was canned chicken. Will not eat here again.
Delightful discovery. We were on our way to WV and wanted to eat at a mom and pop place. This did not disappoint for the most part. I had a meatloaf sandwich with gravy, mashed potatoes and carrots. My husband had a salad and a burger. They were all great. The potatoes and gravy for me were really good. And the homemade bread was killer good. We will put this on our lists of places to return to in our travels!
My husband and I stopped here passing through and it was wonderful! Our waitress was so sweet and very attentive to our needs. It was a very clean place as well. We had the country fried steak and beef stroganoff with mashed potatoes and gravy. Both of them were specials of the day and both were amazingly good! It’s a local family restaurant and we are very glad we stopped to try it!
Small town restaurant so the price is ok but you can tell much of it is frozen and bland in taste. Also is in desperate need of a facelift!
