Food is fabulous and the service is great! The caramel apple latte is perfect on a cool day.
Poor location. Food was mediocre at best. We are vegetarian and the selection was decent but the portions were small for the price. The veggie sausage was weird. It was a large veggie burger, mostly rice and cheese. Not sure what made this a faux sausage. Do not recommend will not return.
The butternut squash with portabella risotto was great! This is one of my favorite dishes at Treehuggers.
My second visit. I paid a second visit to this cafe and was very disappointed to find that Treehuggers are not very consistent with their food. I purchased two Everything cookies and they were so dry that I could barely eat them. Treehuggers, if you can not stay consistent with your food items at least lower your prices. What a waste.21 Jul, 2012Wasn’t sure what was going on in my mouth…but I liked it!. I decided to visit Treehuggers on Bagley Road yesterday. What a great experience, the welcome was sincere when I walked in. The place was of a typical cafe decor it reminded me of a smoothie shop like PULP. All in all, I decided to try the Greek chicken wrap paired with seaweed salad and an Everything cookie to go. The presentation was very appetizing the first bite of the wrap made me want to take a trip back there for dinner but when I tasted the Seaweed salad my mouth was having a party! and I mean one full of Techno music. I had never tasted anything like this before but I liked it!!! Then topped off the the Everything cookie Wow! I could taste every ingredients in it. It was a huge cookie it better be at $3.50 : ) and it was worth every penny. I can’t wait to go back there I could move in next door and be in heaven.
Every time I come in the staff is very pleasant and helpful. While food prices are high, the dishes I have ordered have all come out with great presentation, unique creativity, and memorable taste. The only negative aspect I have come to realize is the consistency of the dishes. One day a dish will be exceptionally amazing, and the next it will be sub-par.
Great concept, poor management. I live nearby and, as a vegan, have been really supportive of this local, vegan-friendly restaurant. The first few times I went, the service and quality were great. But, since then, the quality has gone down significantly and I’m less impressed with the service. I always ask for my veggie burgers without cheese and get it that way only about 30% of the time. Plus, I order the same thing virtually every time and the product and pricing are not consistent. I’ve had a significant price difference for the exact same thing many times. And we never know quite how much we’re going to get. Sometimes we get about ten fries, sometimes many more. I want to like Treehugger’s but they make it very difficult with no consistency!
We visited Treehuggers for the first time on Sunday and found it to be really enjoyable. I had been looking for a great place with an organic/vegetarian focus, and thought they really fit the bill. The 3 Bean Dip appetizer was fantastic, and so was the special Fried Green Tomatoes. It was our first visit, and I doubt our last!
