Wasted my lunch break.. Working in a Blueash office I typically eat lunch out 3 times a week.I’m always looking to support locally owned places so when I found out Bonnie Lynn Bakery had a kitchen and sold lunch I planned a visit.I arrived at 11:30 to a 1/4 full dining room full of what looked like mostly to be retirees and locals who we’re not pressed for time. Most of the dining room had their food already and it looked edible enough so I sat down at the bar and looked over the menu. The whole place smelled like a bakery, but not in a good way. I knew that the sweet pastry, old icing donut frying oil smell was going to be sticking to me the rest of the day. The decor of the whole place is outdated, dark and dingy. Something about the low celling and dim tube lights was unappealing.I ordered two side dishes, a cold deli sandwich and a burger to go and placed the order at 11:40am. After 10 minutes the waitress said that I could pay up front instead of waiting at the bar. I looked over the bakery items and decided to try a treat or two which brought my total up to about 20 bucks. After paying I sat back down and the bar. After 25minutes my togo order was ready. Frustrated I drove back to the office to deliver the food to a coworker only to find one of my side dishes completely missing. The pasta salad I did receive was watery and tasted like spoiled dairy and celery. The burger was a preformed puck that must have been on the grill for the entire 25minutes. It was unseasoned, dry and burned. My coworkers deli sandwich was flat and bland. As for the treats purchased at the bakery… vending machine snacks are a better value for the taste.TL;DR – Food takes forever to cook, is overpriced, under-seasoned and likely heated up from can or freezer bag. Don’t waste your time or money.I’m really sad that this place is such a let down. I was hoping for more.

Awesome cakes!. I order a lot of birthday cakes from Bonnie Lynn bakery, and they never seem to disappoint. You literally can order whatever you want! I even printed a picture online and they were able to re-print it on the cake! Although I have never eaten there for lunch, this place always pleases me.

One of the worst breakfast places I’ve ever visited. Should have known from the terrible decor and lack of patrons at 11:00 am on a Saturday that I should have left. Grits were instant- I watched the waitress make them. Orange from concentrate in a bottle. Bacon was way to fatty and Waffles were more like awfuls. Finally, food was way over priced. Steer clear if this place and anyone reviewer that liked it must have never had a good breakfast.

I love the comments about service. I get the impression they could care less about anything but cakes or doughnuts. But the cook is amazing and I love the breakfast. Very inexpensive. Nothing amazing but everything is cooked well. We love coming here. It is consistent and great food. Just don’t expect amazing service. A 5 dollar meal does not tip as well as the same food that costs 10 bucks so you get what you get.

Love this place. We ordered a wedding cake at Bonnie Lynn Bakery for my parents 50th wedding annversary, and it was MAGNIFICENT! Everyone commented on how beautiful it was and how good it tasted. Everything we get there is great- from the devil dogs, to the coconut bread to the donuts are very good quality. It keeps us coming back for more.

Breakfast from hell. Soggy French toast. Unscrambled eggs. Semi-raw bacon. Burnt coffee. The Short-order cook could be seen in the kitchen wearing a Norwegian woolly hat with pine trees on it. The waitress got the order wrong. The bran muffin tasted of sawdust. $19.00. Need I say more?

Worst Service and people EVER!. The female cook today was the rudest woman I have ever met in a restaurant. THe food was oversooked and tasteless and I won’t be going back anytime soon….. Zack the server was great – but that woman…..what a nightmare!
