Very yummy. This was my first time to a J Gumbos and it was tasty. They said they were out of white rice but could put things on top of jambalaya. I got the voodoo chicken on the jambalaya and it was great. I’m worried now if I go back and just get it on the white rice it won’t be near as good. I guess I’ll just have to try. (or pay the $8.00 for two items in the bowl.)

Great. This is the first time I have eaten at a J Gumbos since college and it was just as good as I remember. Got my personal favorite, the voodoo chicken. Very spicy and meaty. Chicken was good and tender. The bread they give you with your meal is nothing special but a nice side to have. My girlfriend got the drunken chicken which wasn’t very good (I remember this not being very good back in college either). Just not a lot of meat in it and not as spicy as we were both hoping for. Definitely go voodoo chicken if you like spicy food!
Awesome food & service!!!!! Just like being in New Orleans!!!
Blah!. First (and final) visit. 8/21/2013. Ordered Beans & Rice to go. Consisted of 60% white rice (worth15 cents,) with beans and a few token slivers of sausage, caulked with a bland gravy that rendered the other ingredients tastless. I’ve had better tv dinners.
