Charged me double because I ordered from the kids menu. The hipster waiter was very rude. My fries came out late and were cold. Honey mustard was not edible. Salads were tiny and overpriced. Overall… Ew.

Really gone downhill. I live in Blue Ash and have eaten at Through the Garden fairly frequently since it opened. Never again. I ordered the rib/steak combo and the ribs were so cold they must of come directly from a cooler. The steak was cooked far past the medium rare I ordered. The soup that preceded the main course tasted like it had turned a bit but maybe that intentional. Nothing I had was anywhere near as good as I can cook myself. Might be OK for a burger at lunch but I won’t risk it.

Downhill fast in last year; awful dinner and service. I was SO disappointed in my visit Saturday night! The restaurant was dingy (as was my wine glass), the service by teenagers lackluster to say the least. I actually handed my server a napkin still warm with the chicken I had spit out — and she doesn’t say a word. Chicken was grisly and raw in the middle and what used to be beautiful large shrimp on the salad were teeny tiny ones, and few at that. I had to search for any tomato. And they had some trivia thing going on so we were forced to sit by the kitchen. Manager sat at bar eating (as did our server) and never once made eye contact with a customer! I used to eat there all the time when I worked in the area and was excited for a chance to go back. But seriously, the thought of that dirty wine glass and chicken still makes me nauseous! I will never eat there again 🙁

Worst lunch ever. The wings were over cooked and covered in a flour and salt grim. Even after 3 orders on a Tuesday (all you can eat wing day) with comments before and after each disgusting attempt to serve me buffalo style wings. The waiter was nice and polite but the rest of the staff was just plan ignorant and rude including the owner. The place is a dump which doesnt make much sense with there outrageous price to portion ratio. The only good thing was the mushroom swiss burger another in my party ordered, till he tried one of my wings to see for him self. It ruined his appetite he couldnt get rid of the salty disgusting taste in his mouth. I wouldnt go back to eat there if I was paid to. Theres to many other choices and I have been able to cook chicken and cover it with hot sauce since I could reach the top of a stove. I dont understand how they can screw that up so badly so many times.

It could be so much better. The food is not entirely bad. Its just that there are other restaurants that do it better or for a few dollars less. The service is usually not an issue, but the dining rooms poor ventilation usually is. Upon entering, the scent is at first appealing, but the air hangs heavily thereafter.Overall, Through the Garden gives the impression of a mediocre implementation of a great concept, serving garden-fresh food. However, the menu, like the decor, fails to define it. Is it Italian, Greek, Mediterranean, American grill? The lunch and dinner menus appear to be identical except for prices. They charge a few dollars more for everything when they consider your meal dinner rather than lunch. The problems noted could all be fixed. Hopefully, the owner has not completely given up on developing the concept. Freshly grown food in the suburbs is a project deserving and requiring more attention.

Can’t wait to go back. My husband and I are always looking for good ribs, so we decided to try their Thursday All You Can Eat Ribs special. These were the best ribs I’ve had in Cincinnati – really meaty and fall off the bone moist even without the sauce but the sauce was to die for. They started us off with a full slab, and although I wanted more I was too full for another order. The sides were fresh and interesting. I especially enjoyed the basil vinegarette dressing on my salad. The services was friendly and attentive. Glad to know we don’t have to drive all the way to Kansas City for good ribs any more.

Below standard. I was recently referred to this Rest. I have to say it was anything but pleasant. When I arrived the cook not a Chef was outside. And I said to my partner I hope he is not cooking tonight. He was wearing a chefs jacket that was not white anymore. It was filthy gray as if he was a mechanic instead. I don’t think it has ever been washed. I ordered the pot roast with a brown sauce, mashed redskin potato’s and a side salad with house dressing. The pot roast was burnt, very salty, and tasted old. The brown sauce was literally the brown grease that was left over during cooking, and was also poured over the unseasoned cold potato’s served on a cold plate. the salad was fresh but was swimming in water which I did not realize until it diluted the tasty dressing. All the while the waitress is complaining about the owner being cheap about giving out plastic ware to carry out orders, was wasting his money. And a lady outside dining said her chicken was over cooked and she was not eating it. My feet were sticking to the floor that had probably not been mopped in a long while. The whole place felt very dirty. I have to say I would not return to this place. It needs a major overhaul. Dcor, wait staff, Cooks. The only thing I saw vegetarian was salad and veggie of the day. C’mon people this food and experience was HORRIABLE !!!
