Doesn’t Even Keep Bar Hours. New to the area and noticed this place. After a LONG day thought it would be nice to walk to this bar and get a libation as it was past the time that stores can sell alcohol but bars have another 60-90 minutes in Ohio. WRONG. There is a big sign in the front stating how this place isn’t even staying open as late as Ohio will let them, not even on the weekends. Why even be a bar at all? BOO!
Great neighborhood tavern. I was at Shafer’s Tavern on Tuesday June 21st, 2011. The bar owner, Todd and his bartending staff Sherry and Bambi were so friendly and welcoming. They have all the great beer and alcohol as most bars AND they have $1.00 beers. There was a LIVE band named WHISKEY and Stout . They played a variety of classic rock and some southern rock tunes. An amazing 3 piece band. The entire crowd was dancing and having a great time. There was no cover charge and with $1.00 beers it made for a fun-filled affordable evening. I will definately return!!
