Today was my first visit and I plan to become a regular. The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was bright and cheerful. We had drinks, chips, and salsa moments after seating. The salsa was absolutely amazing. The portions are large and the price was low. Much better than Loma Linda’s food.

Come for the margaritas, stay for the combos. Everyone always raves about the margaritas at El Zarape, and for good reason – they’re easily the best in Bowling Green. There’s another Mexican restaurant a block away called Casa Fiesta, but for my money El Zarape is the better of the two. My favorite thing is the impressive list of cheap combo meals they offer – they literally have a different combo special for every day of the month. I agree with a few others who said they found the ground beef under seasoned, but I’ve never had any issues with flavor on any other menu items (and since I usually order things that come smothered in sauces, the lack of seasoning isn’t something I notice unless I’m looking for it). When I’m super hungry I go for the Enchiladas Super Rancheras.

The fajitas were terrible:( the only good thing we had at dinner was the melted cheese and tortilla soup!
