The oldest coffee shop in B.G., and a local staple, Grounds has an extensive used and vintage book collection, friendly service, and great drinks. I rarely see people working on laptops, here, but this is definitely my favorite caf in town.
Hands down my favorite place in BG for coffee, and I love browsing through the used book selection. But be warned, the bookstore has no discernible organization. That said, the locally roasted coffee is great and the flavor variety is always good.
Hippies Welcome!. The coffee shop atmosphere is just the beginning. Yes, there is a wide variety of coffees, finger foods, and newspapers from near and far. Yes, there are guest musicians from time to time and there is a just-over-audible, not overpowering jazz/classical background that allows comfortable conversation without shouting. But wait, there’s more: There are accommodations for meetings of groups from 5 – 105. Now how much would you pay? But wait, there’s even more: This is also a used-book store, with thousands upon thousands of books from which to choose. Now how much would you pay? Actually, not so much as you might think. Without copying the menu here, I’ll just say that a cheapskate like me still manages to stop in once or twice a month and recommend it as a meeting place for groups of which I am a member. Two thumbs up.
Good place to study, grab a coffee, and support a local business
Good coffee and specialty coffee drinks. Also has a huge selection of used books, though it is really disorganized.
Loves me some GFT coffee.
