Not impressed. I’ve had the Thai here before it was alright but expensive. Tried the sushi today. Fish is mediocre and the spicy tuna roll wasn’t spicy. Their rice isn’t sushi rice and is not seasoned. The edamame was microwaved and the miso was old and cold. Extremely salty like it was made days…Update 3/24/16:Stopped for lunch as I was told they had revamped the restaurant. Things are getting better. They are currently in the other side of the restaurant that has been updated. They still need to use sushi rice instead of whatever instant rice they are using now. Fish quality has improved and so has the miso. It was busy for lunch which is a change from what I used to see. Things are improving. With some work this would be a great place and very successful with its proximity to BGSU.
Ripped off twice. I cannot begin to describe how terrible this place is, the food is terrible, and they keep your gift cards that still have a balance on them, and give you back ones that have nothing on them! Terrible food, terrible service….NEVER NEVER will I recommend this place!
Good before, even better, now. New staff, overall better sushi (new supplier?), and the price is reasonable- especially the kitchen food. I liked this place, before, love it now. Get the hotstone bibimbob or an Uraku roll… soooo good!
Great sushi and even greater prices. We try to go to Uraku a few times a month. The sushi is great, and if you have not been there in a while you must try it again, they have upgraded! I don’t care for the seating, its not very comfortable but I have yet to find a sushi place with good seating and sushi. Lunch special is something like 2 rolls for $8, great prices! My personal favorite is the Raccoon Roll!
Very mediocre, bland, expensive Thai food. Poor service; wasn’t given silverware until we had to ask another waitress. Finally, the soda was poorly carbonated.
The sushi was pretty good. Edemame was MICROWAVED!? I didn’t quite understand that shortcut; it made the beans rubbery and unappetizing. Also, the sushi chef seemed to treat his employees with complete disrespect to the point where they seemed afraid to ask him anything the customers were concerned or curious about. I may go back if I don’t feel like driving to Maumee to enjoy more quality sushi and service at Yoko’s.
Tried to eat here, but the door was locked at 9:05PM, even though their sign lists closing at 9:30PM. Won’t bother going back.
