Meh. Standard cheap Mexican food. El Rancho Grande seems to be the fastest growing chain in Cincinnati for this style of food, and I understand why. Service is normally pretty good, food comes out very quickly, and the prices are very reasonable. The issue I have with it is that it is all very formulaic. There is no innovation on this menu – nothing interesting or new to try. It just comes across as food the average person could make with standard grocery store ingredients.Unfortunately, my girlfriend loves this type of food and this is now the closest El Rancho Grande to where we live. To be clear, I’ve never had a terrible meal here, but I’ve never had anything good either. You go in, you are quickly out, and the entire experience is forgettable.
