Are you kidding?. I have probably been here a dozen times. Not because I like this place, because surely I don’t, but my friends think it’s great, for some reason. I’m here to tell you that if you care anything at all about what you bother to eat, this is not acceptable Mexican food. I have tried probably half the menu at this point (enchiladas, burritos, tacos, fajitas, you name it), and there is not a single thing I would come back for. Last night I had the cheese enchilada, and it was so cold the cheese inside the enchilada wasn’t melted. I also had a bean burrito, and it was drowning in a not very tasty ranchero sauce. It may have been a little better if it was more than lukewarm. The service here is also lackluster. On a positive note, the chips and salsa are tasty, but we’re talking canned tomatoes here people. The guacamole is just okay. They will charge you for extra sour cream and extra tortillas if you ask for them.

Fantastic! Lots of seafood meals (more than you average Mexican restaurant). Fast service, great food. One of our favorites around town. Also a large restaurant so usually no wait.

Love this place! The salsa is the best in town and the staff are really friendly. Hands down best Mexican place.

Ehh…. Margaritas are good but I have never been impressed with the food. I was turned off right away when my chicken quesdailla was made with what tasted like canned chicken. Ihave given this place a few more tries and everytime leave feeling disappointed with the food.

Bleh. This is now the fourth El Rancho Grande that I’ve been to and disliked. Maybe I’m missing something here, because it seems that when given the choice for Mexican food, other people seem to regularly choose El Rancho Grande. It is fast becoming the default choice for Mexican in the area. The service tends to be decent and the food comes out fast, but as far as taste goes it all seems mediocre.

Supreme. Best Mexican food for the money any where!
