Our family has frequented the Hamilton/Fairfield location on many occasions and always had great food and service. BUT in our last visit the cook had many order mistakes and in the end we had plenty of rice almost no vegetables and light on meat always left full with some to take home not this time. The service there is awful. nobody cares when you enter the place. for some reason waitresses always seem like pissed off. don’t go if you want to have a good time with your buddies or family, cause it will let you down by letting you wait for centuries just for a freaking drink. i regret for taking my friends for dinner in there. food was okay, but extremely expensive.
We love to visit Fugi’s House with friends or kids and always enjoy the hibachi grill. Recommend the filet and shrimp or dinner for two!
Had to updat my review. Still great food and wonderful service always entertaining. As to how authentic it is, who cares? Good food is good food. I would rather have slightly inauthentic food that is great rather than authentic flood that is so-so.09 Jul, 2011Great food. A little higher priced than some restaurants. But the show at the table is worth it. Lunch is a bargain, even at the tempenyaki table.

Not very authentic.. My sister and I had katsudon (breaded and fried pork on top of a bowl of white rice with japanese stock poured over it) and yakisoba. Nothing special but very over priced. Had two dishes and one roll of sushi and the check was over $50. I made katsudon before and mine tasted more authentic than the one I had at Fuji’s. I guess you pay the price for the fancy hibachi shows that they perform…
Been here a couple times. Japanese restaurant but own by Chinese. So speaking of authenticity, it’s not quite up to par. But in general, the food is good. Probably not my preference if I’m seeking for real Japanese food, but I’d come back if others suggest.
