I bought some cupcakes a few weeks ago that were very good and beautifully decorated. Which is why I chose them to for my 4yr old twins birthday party cake. I paid $110.00 for a 3 tiered superhero cake for their party that was to have 25-30 guests. The cake was boxed so that I could only see the very top of the cake, which looked good. When I arrived at our venue and unveiled the show stopper cake, to my horror, it was leaning backward to the point I thought it was going to topple over. The leaning of the cake was so bad that all of the decorations looked lopsided. It literally looked like my 4 year olds put this cake together. I was terribly embarrased at the look of the cake, but SURELY the taste of the cake would be enough to subside my utter disappointment and embarrassment, right? WRONG!! The edges of the cake were AS HARD AS A ROCK! ON ALL 3 TIERS OF THE CAKE. So this means the person or persons who iced this catastrophe, KNEW it was burnt and knew it was bad and still passed it off to their customer, knowing it was for CHILDREN and it was their BIRTHDAY CAKE. THEY KNEW IT WAS LEANING OVER TOO AND JUST PASSED IT OFF TO ME. 2 hrs into the party, and a wall was holding it up. The cake ended up in the trash and any mom with toddlers will know how broken my heart was. Except Jo Jo’s, who will not refund my money but offered a gift certifiate for HALF of what I paid for this cake (cake is not what they sold me). NO THANK YOU. I get that mistakes happen and was even going to overlook it all had the cake been delicious.. at $110.00 you’d think it would be. People have a responsibly to make things right and you have failed miserably. I will not be back and I will tell every person I know to never order from you for any event. I live here in liberty township and I work at one of the largest company’s in Dayton, OH. I will get the word out. Thanks for the memories you robbed from me, my kids and their guests. It was humiliating and you should be ashamed!

The best. We’ve had JoJos a few times, starting with one of the discount vouchers. At full price they are a little expensive but they are the best cupcakes in town by a mile. We had them (again) last night for our company holiday party. This year we chose the full-sized instead of the minis but either one is a good choice. Buckeye, salted caramel, white chocolate macadamia, Godiva…It does not matter they are all incredible. The living social coupons can’t be used for a pre-order so if you get that voucher show up early to get the selection you want.

What I had was good. This was quite a drive for me, but my husband and I wanted to try their protein brownies, about 20g protein each, 150 cals, 11 carbs, 3.5g fat. That’s a pretty decent afternoon snack, providing they taste good. We thought the chocolate one (the one we tried today) tasted great; they come in 5 chocolate combo flavors. They’re a little expensive, but whey powder is very expensive so the cost doesn’t bother me at all, especially since no one else is selling anything that has a good flavor and is also low fat and pretty low sugar. Note, if you go Tuesdays you get the brownies for $2 as opposed to $2.75While I was there I couldn’t resist trying a mini strawberry cupcake. I ate it outside in the car. I almost ran back inside for more, but hey, diet. The cake was light and moist, the frosting tasted like real butter cream with maybe whipped cream in it, and there were real strawberries involved. I don’t know about the other flavors, but this was a winner with me.I was so sad about Sugarplum closing. I still am, for the people involved. But at least now I have another place for good cupcakes that aren’t overly sweet and heavy. And those brownies will be an excellent afternoon snack for a healthier diet.
