Never Ready!!. Third time is the charm. I understand that you don’t want to have leftovers but, if its 7:00 p.m. and you have 20 people in line, you better have more than half your food trays full! I might even understand it happening once, but this is the third time its happened to me; from now on, I’ll get my Asian fix at the little restaurant on the west side of the strip mall – made to order in less time than P.E.

Tried the golden Sichuan fish which was tender and tasty. However it was a tiny portion of fish with one peapod and three dime sized red peppers — quite a poor value at $4.75.

Its not like the food is bad but for the money, I would go another block to one of the better Chinese buffets in the area. It was quick but sometimes quick isn’t the best thing.

Huge portions, mediocre food, low prices. I ordered the orange chicken and white rice. With huge mounds of both filling the three-sectioned paper plate, it is no exaggeration to say the portions were gigantic, easily enough to feed a family of three. The only problem is that there was nothing gourmet about the food. In fact, I would rank it as only mediocre at best, mainly due to not much flavor even after pouring on various unit portion packets of plum sauce. It was amazingly affordable, less than $6 for the loaded plate, but without adding a beverage. Panda Express is one of those places that would rather sell no beverage than a huge small size one (Im guessing a 20 oz. cup). They did offer a small cup, but only for free water. Places that have this policy always amaze me because Id think they would rather sell a small beverage than none at all. Possibly most people enjoy drinking a stomach-capacity size beverage and restaurants charge a huge markup for Coke or Pepsi syrup drinks. To its credit, Panda Express also offers a variety of those alternative bottled beverages (pink stuff, white stuff, orange stuff, teas, etc.).Panda Express is place I want to like, meaning I like the concept and range of menu choices for a low price, but felt disappointed on my first visit. I might go back for take-out and order a couple of entrees, which should be enough to provide several meals at home, where I have a cabinet full of spices to doctor the recipes.

Drive-thru Chinese food. This location just opened and I dropped by recently to give it a shot. First off, this place has a drive-thru which scores major points with me.Currently, the menu is rather limited with only about 8 different main dishes and 4 side dishes. I got the Orange Chicken, which actually turned out to be about as good as you’ll get at cheap Chinese carryout places. The steamed rice and potstickers would also be hard to identify as not being from your standard Chinese carryout place. I wouldn’t say they were *good*, but decent enough that when combined with the convenience of the fast food setup, it makes for an acceptable meal.I’d only recommend if you’re already in the area and want some quick, standard, Americanized Chinese food. Don’t go here expecting to get restaurant quality food – it’s the same quality as you’ll find at other fast food places, only Panda Express just serves a different type of cuisine. I doubt I’ll be coming here often as I’ve never been a huge fan of cheap Chinese food, but it’s a nice option to have in the area.
