I don’t typically do the mega chains, but this place kinda stood out. Firstly they didn’t treat the fries as a precious commodity. There was an ample serving with my grilled chicken sandwich. Secondly, the salad bar had a mumber of items that you don’t necessarily see all the time. All that and a large draft for under 20 bucks, I will definitely come back.
July 4th, heavy traffic on I-70, stopped at Cambridge, OHRuby Tuesday. Restaurant was very busy but we got right in. Waitress brought our drinks and took our order promptly. 45 minutes later, no food and the waitress had not stopped back. Asked to see the manager. Staff said she was in the kitchen cooking because the GM insisted they would not be busy and would not let her schedule a full kitchen staff. We left, as did many others. Felt bad for the wait staff as they were losing tips with every customer who left. This is the second time this has happened at this location.The GM obviouslyneeds more experience before managing a high-traffic restaurant, and should put customer service above a monthly bonus based on bottom-line profit.
Very good experience. We avoided all Ruby’s since the one in Zanesville was not good and left a bad impression in general, but we had some friends who wanted to meet us at this Cambridge location recently. The last time we were there, at least 6 years ago, it left a lot to be desired so we chalked it off our list also. This time, first thing we noticed was a new menu with lots of tempting choices. I had the steak and shrimp combo with salad bar and loaded baked potato. Salad bar and sneeze shields were clean, no lettuce out of place or on the floor, everything was in order. Meal took at least 25 minutes to arrive, but everything was cooked well and waitress was top-notch. Other than what I thought was a bit longer wait for the meal than was necessary since the place was not busy, I was pleasantly surprised with the overall experience at this location and will return.
Amazing Improvement in Food Quality. My last visit there, I had a fish entree that was excellent. So did my friend, who liked it just as well. Good cocktails, fresh salad bar. Updated interior. Friendly service. Probably my favorite Ruby Tuesday in Ohio and Florida.
