Very good, clean, nice family restaurant
Very Disappointing. This is another Akron restaurant I don’t get. It seems to be a bit of a icon in the Northhill area. Food mediocre at best. Very affordable, but food a total let down.
Great family restaurant. This place is great. Great food, great prices… It’s too bad people are able to write dishonest reviews about local businesses on here.

In response to Dinea: How unfortunate is it that reviews can be falsely written about good businesses. My booth was right next to her family’s table. From the beginning they were rude and obnoxious. The manager did everything he could to please them. He kicked them out after they began swearing and using the F word (in front of the children.)The manager was applauded by our party and the others in the room after they left. Dines and her party deserved what happened to them. If 65 minutes is too long of a wait for a party of 10 on a Saturday night, then stay home or go get fast food. Dontino’s is a great family owned place. My favorite for Italian. Too bad there ate so many classless people in this world!
Flabbergasted by horrible service. I am still shocked by the horrible service we experienced at this restaurant last night. We called the restaurant before we left the house to make sure they could accommodate a party of ten, 4 adults and 6 children, and what the wait time would be. We were told a large group was not a problem and it would take 25 minutes to seat us. When we arrived at the restaurant we were told it would be 25 minutes. After 45 minutes, we asked how much longer and were told that the other tables were finishing up and it wouldnt be much longer. We saw the other large party leave and waited another 20 minutes before we were seated. Once we were seated after a 65 minute wait with 6 young children, it took 10 minutes for our waitress to show up. At this point we still did not have any menus or even bread on the table. I asked if she could please bring some bread quickly that we had been waiting a very long time and the children were very hungry. 5 minutes later she came back with one basket of 6 pieces of bread and took our dink order. At this point we asked to speak with a manager because the waitress was obviously overwhelmed. When the manager came to speak with us, we told him that we were unhappy with the service due to the long time it took to get seated and the fact that we have been seated for almost 20 minutes and still had not even placed our order yet, and there was no more bread on the table. The managers response was that it was Saturday night and they were busy, what did we want him to do. My husband replied that he wanted him to do his job and ensure that we had decent service. The waitress came back over and we ordered our drinks and appetizers and asked for more bread and menus. 10 minutes later the waitress brought the appetizers and was starting to take our order but we still did not have any menus or bread. She brought some menus and we placed our order, but she walked away from the table before even getting all the orders, I had to get up and find her to finish placing our food order, and we still did not have any bread on the table. My brother called the manager back over to explain that we still were not getting very good service and the manager became very irate and proceeded to kick us out of the restaurant. So, we had waited for over 1.5 hours and the manager kicked out 6 hungry children all under the age of 10 because we complained about bad service!!! The odd thing was that during the 65 minutes we were waiting over 20 other parties came in and were seated waiting between 5-10 minutes, also a table of 8 was seated behind us after we were seated and were just getting their dinners served to them while we still did not even have menus. I will never return to this restaurant and I still cant understand why the manager was so unprofessional, rude, and unconcerned with the lack of service!
I like their spaghetti and meatballs but I always leave hungry.
