Good food, terrible service. The food was good overall. I really like the Bangkok delight and their fried rice. The seafood adventure was also quite the dish. I also love a lot of their appetizers, such as crab Rangoon and summer roll. As you can see I’m a regular. I recommend fried ice cream for dessert and honey dew bubble tea for drinks. The only thing that bothers me is their service. It would be great if they have more than 1 or 2 servers, because they each attend to so many tables at a time that it takes a while to get my order in and get my food. I sat for almost 20 minutes before I was attended to. I have heard that they don’t pay the servers enough anyways and the owner rips them off their money or tips.the servers were nice, although sometimes I have a hard time understanding them. Some are not well versed in the English language.I think it’s just poor business practice, but the food is good so it’s up to you guys to decide. Service or food? Probably both.
Loved both dishes. The Crying Tiger was outstanding! The Pad Thai was very fresh!! We will be back soon.
Place is GOOD.. I was extremely biased toward Cilantro downtown before I tried TOB. I could not wait to compare the panang curry between the two places. TOB was incredible! The buddha dumplings are divine and the fried mango ice cream is to die for. The only complaint: the heat scale is not as hot as Cilantro’s. I got the panang at a 4, my usual level at Cilantro, and the TOB 4 was not hot enough. I will be getting a 5 next time. The service is very quick, and the food was done very promptly. I will be going back!
A regular here for quite sometimes and still coming back 3-5 times a week. Delicious food, great service and not so expensive price. I love their Drunken noodles and their sushi, until I convinced myself to try their Pho after seeing other customers (many of them) enjoying their HUGE bowl of Pho. Damn..it’s so GOOD!! The server told me that their Pho is one of the customers favorite. And I’m glad I’ve tried it..(it’s one of my favorite now)
You can wait. I use to go to Taste of Bangkok at least once a week always ask people in office who would like to order for pick up at first things were good then as the restaurant got better known things kept getting worse and that is understandable but how the manager handles busy times makes a difference. Today was my last time getting food from the Taste of Bangkok I knew something was up when I walked in and a lady was yelling at the help. The manager did nothing to come her down or offer something. I waited over 30 mins after the time they told me to pick up my order then as I was driving out the help came running out with soup they forgot then I ask to check the orders found several things missing & had to wait again for them to cook then after waiting for that they told me they ran out of my cabbage salad and what did I want to do!!!!!!! Well hell they should of said I am so sorry we ran out can I give you your money back for that item and substitute a free drink or something. No more they have lost my business
Great Lunch Deals. For under $6, you can’t beat the lunches at Taste of Bangkok – LOVE everything I’ve tried, Green Curry, Red Curry, Drunken Princess and others that I can’t remember. Lunch includes a bowl of chicken soup with mushrooms & thai basil, a spring roll with an amazing dipping sauce, a bowl of rice and a bowl of your entree. Wasn’t a big fan of their sushi but, if you want a great Thai meal at a reasonable price, this is the place to go!
