Naples style pizza is the real Italian like way you can get around Dayton…I love how cheap it is 10 bucks for a large and they do gluten free. Pizza is thin but pieces are large.
Here is why I eat at Dorothy Lane Market as much as I can:Bakery: Artisan breads made daily from scratch, very similar to European bakeries. The Killer Brownies are always a hit with friends and family when they arrive in the mail. The cakes and pastries are unmatched anywhere around.Deli: The deli sandwiches including grilled cheeses, ficelle sandwiches, Naples pizza, frittatas, crepes, I could go on, are outstanding. The deli sandwiches and take away items are also gourmet, made right there in the kitchen and are made with the best of ingredients.Cheese: The cheese department does a fabulous job of keeping up to date with the latest as well as the stocking the old favorites like Barber’s cheddar.Meat and Seafood: The meat and seafood may cost a little more but it’s worth it. Most of the seafood is flown in the day it’s caught and never frozen. The meats, pork and poultry are raised without antibiotics or hormones. If this is important to you then you will view their butcher department as a true value.The groceries: They have so many specialty items and imported gourmet foods. I just love roaming the aisles here and looking at everything. I wish I had a bigger pantry sometimes just so I could stock up on everything.
