Food was delicious, service, was fast, and very good prices. I am addicted to the bacon and i love the red skinned potatoes. A coworker told me about this place and i am so glad i tried it. I also love the location, which is close to my job.
Bake’s has become a staple for downtown. Fast service, wonderful food, and really nice employees not to mention it’s very inexpensive. Try it out! You won’t be disappointed I promise.
The Experience. So…I was having a terrible day at work. Awful. It’s a light Friday…spring fever is going around. I ALWAYS hear great things about Bake’s Place. I hear the 4 way is tasty…so I’m game. Aside from the employees, there are only 3 other customers dining in…with a steady trickle of to-go diners coming and going. I sit down to a castaway newspaper. Blank crossword AND sudoku…jackpot!!! Order is called and the chili does NOT disappoint…much better than the other Cincy favs–and I like them. As Bake says, it definitely has more guts to it. : ) As I continue to enjoy my lunch, I realize I’m listening to some outrageously good music that puts me in mind of John Prine. Bake educates me that I’m enjoying Guy Clark. By the time I leave, I’m back to good. The whole experience was delicious and restorative.
Inexpensive Breakfast and always tasty. This is a little place tucked in the Mercantile building (the white marbled building across from gov’t square.)It’s a great place to grab a quick breakfast made to order, for great prices. Scrambled eggs with cheese? $1.50Eggs made in your style, with bacon or sausage? $2.50They have some seating, but this is more of a cafe where you grab your grub and go.Nothing like it downtown.
