bangkok express food review.Stopped into this place for carry out lunch and ordered the pad kee mao. I always order pad thai, but decided to switch things up. This was an interesting dish. It had really large noodles that seemed to get lost. Im used to the noodels being the star of pad thai. I did enjoy the huge chunks of chicken and vegitables, and the flavor was very bold, but not spicy. I asked for no heat. Overall I enjoyed lunch. Next time, Ill order pad Thai, the dish I normal measure all thai places, lol! whatbriscooking.com

The gem has gone dull. If this was once a gem of downtown, it is no longer. We got the chicken yellow curry @ heat 3 and the chicken pad thai at heat 2. First, the pad thai was spicier than the curry. Second, you can tell they use low quality, cheap ingredients in the food. The curry was more chicken broth than it was coconut milk and it had 4 tiny slivers of low grade chicken in it. For $7.50, you could at least fill up the dang container it comes in. Portions on the curry were pathetic. The pad thai had good flavor, but again you can tell they use cheap noodles and not a lot of chicken. There are definitely better places to get thai around here. I doubt we’ll go back to Bangkok Express.

I wish they had dinner hours.

Great Thai Experience. This place has very solid and reliable dishes. They are always tasting fresh and flavorful. From Pad Thai, to the Curry rice dishes, each has it’s own flavor that stands out. I like the more simple 1-5 heat scale (too much guessing with the 1-10, which has become somewhat of the norm it seems these days). Attentative staff and in-and-out service. My top choice for Thai in the Downtown area.

Very impressed for great food and friendly service.. I heard great things about this place and finally decided to try it for the first time with my co worker last week. The food from Bangkok Express is terrific! The crab rangoon are particularly heavenly, but all their food is really tasty: the curry dishes are very flavorful and the noodle dishes are delicious (even the pad thai, which is pretty boring at a lot of places) my friend really like the combo fried rice very much too. All dishes definitely good recommend byfriendly guy staff who nice and know about their foods. In our opinion, this is the best Thai place in downtown now. Sadly they don’t open on weekend, but they will open longer hours to 6 p.m. and I will definitely go back.
