Pretty disappointed. Online here it shows Monday – Sunday yet we get here on Sunday and they aren’t even opened. With that being said I don’t plan on wasting my time to come back.
It’s ok. If you are an avid sushi lover this is just ok. The kids working there aren’t experts, just filling spots on an assembly line that produces custom maki sushi rolls. The concept is good, the execution is unimaginitve but the taste was decent. One person uses a mcahine to press rice into squares on either seaweed or soy wrappers, pick from 4 kinds of raw fish or a handful of cooked items, then add veggies. Then they roll it up and cut it in a machine before you choose various sauces and extras like masago and tempura flakes. The presentation is borderline criminal to people who appreciate the art of sushi making but it doesn’t affect the flavor. My roll was falling apart on the ends because the guy doing the wrapping didn’t do it tight enough. Overall it was worth the price and the atmosphere is a modern, hip kind of vibe. You can do worse for sushi rolls but you can also do much better.
Best Sushi spot Downtown if you are creative and. Location:Prime location right in the heart of the city. Safe and no worries for families day or night. Park in the 5/3 parking lot if you want to stay or park with your blinkers on right outside and run in and grab your sushi and out the door.Atmosphere/Decor:Love it!! Simple, Clean, Eco Friendly w/ Compost, Recycle, Trash bins. Imagine Chipotle set up and this is what this place looks like. Food:Its like Chipotle but w/ Sushi!! How can you go wrong. I put everything in it. I got the Seaweed wrap, smoked salmon, cucumber, asparagus, broccoli, avocado, carrots, jalapenos, w/ some kind of A-1/bbq tasting sauce. Miso Soup, Spicy Edamame.~~ Pricing: Cheap. ($5.75-8.50 for 10 pieces of sushi, 1.75 for miso soup, 1.75 edamame)~~ Food: Sushi ingredients were fresh. The only way the sushi will taste bad is if you put together the wrong combination your self. so, its on you. if you want some pre-set up sushi options then take your little butt across the street to mr.sushi and be boring. Miso soup tasted like every other miso soup. spicy edamame didn’t taste to spicy, but then again i love spicy stuff. ~Portion: 10 pieces of sushi and not just 5 like some other sushi places (filling for 1 person) soups and edamame are a little small for my liking, but are priced accordingly. Customer Service:They said hi to me. they made my sushi when it was my turn and rung me out. What more can you ask for from downtown employees?Must Try
Love the concept!! Wish they would open one in Northern Kentucky!! 🙂 I was very pleased with my first experience. The staff was super friendly and the portion you get is massive! I could only eat half. The rest came home with me. Very good prices too!!
McSushi. The sushi is relatively inexpensive, but it isn’t very good. It’s better than the pre-boxed sushi from the grocery stores, but it’s a lot worse than any sushi that I’ve ever ordered at a real restaurant. There isn’t a lot of real sushi items to choose from either. They offer cooked chicken and steak sushi rolls, but a lot of the traditional raw rolls one would expect are missing from their menu. The food is made assembly-line style, and the atmosphere feels like Subway. The thing I hate the most about this place is that they use a machine to prepare and slice the sushi rolls. The person in front of me in line ordered a lot of sauce on their roll, and I could taste their sauce on my roll.
I was really excited about this place. Maybe I came on an off day, but both my rolls were wrong, and the rice was undercooked.
Easy. Casual. Sushi.. This place rules. I seriously can’t decide what’s better, the service or the food! If you love sushi or not, you should still check this place out. Even if it’s as simple as sitting down and having a soda you WILL enjoy a fun, positive, upbeat atmosphere and probably get a friendly welcoming from the staff and/or owners. I have nothing bad to say about this place! Check out their awesome website to get a better feel/more info – http://www.fusian.com
