Great food that offers something different.. Happened upon the place while I was wondering around for a bite to eat before heading to the ball game. Cool decor. Nice, friendly staff. Food was great. Service was a little slow. Not because they were unorganized or slacking off, but because they seemed genuinely to care about the quality of product they serve. i will certainly keep them in mind the next time I am downtown.
Jan and I have been threatening to go here and finally made good on it. Straight-laced Jan had the Promiscuous and hippie Jim had the Hippie. We were both happy with are choices as well as having the option of a variety of vegetarian choices.
Great discovery. My husband LOVED the cheeseburger. The staff was fun and helpful. We’ll go back again.

Such a cute place for lunch. Amazing sandwiches with clever, fun names to go along with them. Reasonably priced food with a cute eclectic dining atmosphere. Also, their claim of best cookies in Cincinnati is no joke yummy
Delicious. I went exploring in the downtown area and came across Gilpins. FREAKING DELICIOUS! There are so many options to build your own or have a tried and true one, but you will not be disappointed. You know when you eat a sandwich and it’s dry and missing a little something something? You will not come across that here! Steamed sandwiches are the way to go. I highly recommend trying it out! Everything is pretty laid back too so you feel welcomed being a new customer. I’ve read reviews that they are overpriced but really? For a downtown establishment you are basically robbing them when you go to eat there. Anybody who says that they are overpriced needs to bring their lunch from home.
Used to be a weekly staple for me. Now I hardly ever go because while the food is great, the prices are just a touch high for what you get, and the wait time for food is really long, even when you’re the only one there.
