Stopped to try Gilpin’s again. In years past, I really like this restaurant (4.5). Cool loft seating and interesting fare. They used to have a roast beef sandwich with cheddar that was delicious. The last couple of times I have dropped in, the menu mainly consists of sandwiches that have crushed chips on them. The beef sandwich is gone. I don’t like the trend. The sandwiches are too expensive for what you get. I love breakfast foods and they have a breakfast sandwich, but an egg and cheese sandwich costs as much as a chicken sandwich. Something is off here. Not sure I will be back unless I hear of a menu change.
