What gives?. I think that I read that they ARE moving to a new space, one more visible. I agree, their location was a tough find. I am quite sure that they felt the same way on the first day they opened.04 Jun, 2011Mixed emotions. I want a hot dog as my final meal before being executed. And these folks can serve it to me.But I have only been a couple of times–I never feel comfortable there. i wish they would spiff up the seating, put in some booths or something.
Nice Dog. A friend and myself tried it today. Very nice people work there, extremely clean too. I had the traditional chicago dog and they are right 100% authentic to my taste buds. Fries were hot and great. Comes with a free ice cream if you want it after the meal. I passed because I didnt want to sleep after work. I’m looking forward to coming back and trying the italian beef. Go get a dog here.
Excellent food!. Great food from these Chicago transplants. I went for the first time today and has the Italian Beef and the Chicago Dog. I took them to go b/c I knew I wouldn’t want the free ice cream after all that food, and I still had work to do, so I took the carry over into consideration but the food was still FANTASTIC! I have had dogs in Chicago and these were right up there with them. Everything was crisp and fresh and formed a perfect balance of flavors. The Italian Beef was the real winner though, as it just melted in your mouth. There is plenty of juice in them. You will not be disappointed and neither was I. I might ask for a little more juice next time though since I like my bread pretty wet, but I will def. be back, and with the gang next time.

Felt more like home than anywhere we have been in Cincinnati. Seems like the owners can spot sincere people, and after a short chat we let them waltz our 8 month old around the room while we finished perfectly cooked fries and the best snapping polish I have ever eaten. This city could learn how to treat transplant from the amazing folks at HDI.
