Absolutely loved it. We had foie gras, escargot, rack of lamb and skate. Everything was INCREDIBLE. I wouldn’t have changed one thing about our meal. Usually when you go to a restaurant there are some incredible moments and then some not as great dishes but everything was fantastic. I can’t wait to go back! This is definitely my new go to restaurant for special occasions!
Very disappointed. Appetizers were good but the entrees were less than great. Scallops were gritty, Halibut was dry and the Sole had to be sent back. Service was extremely slow, waitress was overwhelmed. Jean Robert was opening a new restaurant this night and I think he forgot about his moneymaker. When we talked to the manager he said he was the manager of the moment. All in all it was a trainwreck and probably we won’t be going back.P.S. Creme Brulee for dessert was served stonecold.
I can’t imagine how I’ve so far neglected posting a rave review of Jean-Robert’s Table, one of my longstanding Cincinnati dining favorites. JenH, whose review perfectly articulates my own experiences, reminded me of my omission. I would add only that skate wing is the entree not to be overlooked at JR’s Table.
My friend and I had tickets to Cabaret and did not even think of dinner until the day before. Of course the typical places were booked and we decided to take a little walk and try something new. I was afraid this would be an over priced stuffy place. I was so wrong! The decor is eclectic and charming. The staff is well trained but welcoming and friendly. And the prices are high but the food is worth every penny. I ordered the haddock and my friend the scallops. We both were totally thrilled. I’m sure I’ll be back!
I had heard about this restaurant on the Saturday CBS show and have been excited for some time to go, as I go to Cincinnati occasionally on business. We had high expectations and it did not disappoint. The restaurant is decorated wonderfully eclectic, and although it is fine dining, it was a casual bistro atmosphere. We started with a number of appetizers, including escargots, tartare and rabbit ravioli. All delicious with wonderful twists of taste. Main course was the duck, which was medium rare, juicy and just the right amount of fat. Chocolate mousse for desert was just decadent. Service was professional, attentive but not over bearing. Overall a great experience, will definitely be back.
World Class Dining. You have not eaten until you’ve eaten here. What a fabulous experience! Five star food served with five star service. I have found my new favorite restaurant. This a whole other level of dining. This is a Cincinnati treasure.
Who are we kidding? Table is in a different class from Boca. Boca is terrific but too much hat not enough horse . Go to Table for the wine list alone. Mucho gusto. Heirloom tomato…speaks for itself. If salmon wrapped in bacon ever reappears, I’m camping out on the sidewalk. Jean Ro rules. The short menu speaks for itself. No balloons for the kids, just serious food. Only complaint, no serious coffee for after dinner. Yikes, where did they get the coffee? Need someone serious about coffee. Plain dark and strong is needed. Rock on, Table.
