Well I didn’t know it was possible to screw up King Crab Legs but this place did.. But let’s start from the beginning.Shrimp cocktail was good 5 good size shrimp and plenty of horseradish. $15.99 so a little high for what it was. It wasn’t memorableLobster bisque $13.50 was really good. Plenty of lobster in it with some good croutons in it as well. Great flavor.Crab legs $49.99. Horrible. 3 small legs. No claws and probably the smallest king crab legs I’ve ever seen. The legs were soggy and had no snap to them at all. The meat had no flavor. I swear they were boiled not steamed. I never use butter on crab legs as I love the flavor of the crab itself but I had to use butter on these to get any flavor. Came with grilled potatoes with Ono s and garlic also flavorless. I had to add a ton of salt and that didn’t help much either. Also came with grilled corn. It was the best thing on the plate and it was so so. I would never order these here again. Very disappointed.Service was ok. Very slow to start but got better. It was 10:00 so I expected it to be a little off.
Tuesdays is the best, shellfish, oysters foe a buck, yes! $1.00 I do love the restaurant, we have has zero problems for a chain and since I do look for the franchise when I travel this is one of the no-brainer and safe place you will get a great meal…always.
Big Disappointment!. Four of us ate dinner here on Saturday, 3/21/15 prior to seeing a performance at the Taft Theater. What a disappointment! Three out of the four of us ordered the stuffed flounder after asking our server if it would be a good choice. He said it would. My wife and I could not believe our eyes given the price and the small servings. The flounder was adequate at best and the asparagus that came with the meal was about six stalks, tough, and tasteless. We said nothing simply because it was our friends who recommended this restaurant (because of the proximity to the Taft, although they had never dinned there) and we did not want to ruin the evenings and make them feel awkward. Bottom line, McCormick & Schmick’s is a big disappointment with its poor quality and overpriced food. My wife and I wouldn’t dream of giving this place a second chance.

Overpriced and overrated. Sat in the bar for a bit before our reservation and were treated to some of the most rude, inattentive, and insulting bartenders I’ve ever been around. Got to our table, server was very friendly and on the ball. Food was below average. Asparagus wasn’t trimmed properly so had to cut off the woody ends myself. Steak was overcooked and not a very good cut for the price. For the $230 spent I’ve actually had better meals at the cheap chain restaurants.
Very average food at very above average costs.. A very disappointing visit to be sure. My steak was overdone, dry, and warm but not hot. My friends seafood was overcooked as well and the salads we had looked great but were oddly tasteless. If the dinner had been 1/3 the cost I would be more lenient and perhaps go to 3 stars but as it is I gave them 2 with 1 being for the adequate service and decent atmosphere.
Caring management…. I took a large group of out-of-town co-workers (from all over the nation) to this location and we had a bad experience. After my staff and I showed the group to their hotel, I returned to the restaurant and asked to speak to the manager. After I explained everything, the manager asked if I would bring the group back the following day and give them another chance. I did, and we were treated like royalty. Wow! Did they ever turn this around… The group couldn’t stop talking about it!
