Loved it!. I went here with a work crowd. I loved their lobster bisque, buttermilk fried chicken and smoked gouda mac and cheese. All were excellent. The waiter in a kilt was fun too. I will definitely return!

Great soups! I often call ahead on my way to Cincinnati to find out what the soups for the day are being made. And there’s alcohol.

Failed miserably!. It’s my Mother’s 87th Birthday. I fly in from California to spend her Birthday with her. She had never seen the Phantom of the Opera & I thought what a perfect occasion to take her. Nicholson’s being right across the street- I made a reservation to take her to dinner before the show. I made sure they knew it was her bday and we had a 7:30 show time. After sitting an hour with our 1 cocktail – we had yet to get our dinner. The people next to us- were in the same situation. They ended up walking out of the restaurant without dinner. But my mother needed food. I was so disgusted after asking the waitress repeatedly where our dinner was- that I cancelled our meals. Low & behold, within 3 minutes they brought us our dinner. I declined mine because I was so disgusted- but my poor 87 year old mother was starving & had to wolf down her food before racing to the theatre. Unfortunate! Right across the street from the Aronoff- you’d think Nicholsons would know how to cater to the theater. Come on Cincinnati – get a NICE, customer oriented restaurant in Nicholson’s place that can service theatre customers!!!!

Ate here on 3/27. Really nice service. Sticky Toffee Pudding was AWESOME!!! Dinner portions need work. Was hungry after show at Aronoff. Willing to give a second try but would come next time during spring/summer menu.

Great atmosphere and food. Crispy shrimp appetizer was absolutely delicious and would highly recommend. Crab cakes were great, fish and chips were good, and the wedge salad was out of this world. Will be back!

Not impressed.. I went to Nicholson’s for lunch recently and bought a take-away order of Shepherd’s Pie. Now, I realize this is a messy dish and that is can be difficult to accommodate for take away. However, I would think it would be easy enough to stick it in a plastic or Styrofoam soup bowl. For whatever reason, that did not happen.I was not at all pleased with how my dish turned out. It did not seem to even be a full lunch order. It was maybe three quarters to one cup of food slopped into some paper in a large square Styrofoam take away container. I ended up going to CVS after and buying a can of soup to supplement it.The service was good. As it was take out, I didn’t have much interaction, but the staff was very helpful in the placement and serving of the order.Anyway, I paid $9.75 for a sloppy three quarters of a cup of Shepherd’s Pie (picture in the photos). I filled out their online form alerting them to what happened. I received an email thanking me for my email and saying a manager would follow up with me. That was two weeks ago and I’ve not heard a thing. All in all, I’m not impressed.Update: Management left me a message on my phone. I contacted them via email because I missed the call. My message was forwarded to the manager over a week ago. Never heard anything back.

Very awesome atmosphere. They have a great drink selection as well. Their food is great, although their side portions are slightly smaller than expected. They do, however, even make their own ketchup! We had a great server.
