Don’t take our order for food at 10:45 if you’re going to tell us that we can’t get food after 11. Place smells like old smile and bathroom air fresheners.
Great Place, Great Time. I don’t know what the old O’Malley’s was like, or the ” jerry juice” but I enjoyed the times I have spent since learning of this place and will return. I posted a review on the yahoo site but doesn’t share with this site. The hotels I stayed in have recommended this place ( Hyatt, Hilton and Cincinnatian). Great atmosphere, food, drinks, people and prices. I will visit again each time I am in town.
I loved this spot! Stumbled upon it for lunch, hidden gem 🙂 stopping back for Happy Hour so I can have a beer! Check it out!
Good little pub with ok food. On a business trip and went here two nights in a row for a quiet beer and a light meal. Looks a bit shady from outside but a nice crowd inside. Obviously attracts lots of regulars.
Love it!!!!. Love this place! I used to go there once or twice a year. It was just a cool spot but after the last owner passed away it seemed to go downhill. It got dirty and could be a pretty ugly place after a game. Someone final came in and cleaned the place up. It looks great and still has all the charm its always had. Seems like the same faces are still behind the bar with a few of new ones thrown in. The menu is new and everything Ive had was great. The have a great craft beer selection and their prices are insanely low for a downtown bar. Happy hour and game day specials are even lower! Highly recommended! Ive gone from going 1 or 2 times a year to 1 or 2 times a week. Thanks for saving the second oldest bar in Cincinnati and making it great again!
There are pros and cons….. The first time we stopped here we only had drinks. Service was good and the bartender friendly but the prices were steep. Second trip to O’Malley’s we ordered food and were not disappointed. Their food is much more reasonably priced than their alcohol. Portions were smallish at best but the pulled pork was very good. The bartender pushes drinks, ignored me as I told him twice I didn’t want another drink and he poured another. Everyone was very friendly. All in all we like this place.
Sad, very very sad. I always looked forward to going to this bar while visiting family in Cincinnati. I walked in, and didn’t recognize the place (in a bad way). All the great bartenders I knew gone (I found out later in a very unethical fashion). Friends, family, business contacts, & myself all share the same feeling after going ONCE: new staff leave you with the impression they could care less if you don’t return. Old bartenders Hal, Clay, and Clark would introduce themselves, ask your name, and actually talk with you. Luckily I found out Hal is at Plum Street Cafe now.
