Absolutely wonderful meal. There is a reason Via Vite has become a fixture on Fountain Square after 8 years in business. The bolognese and braised lamb were excellent but the show stealer was the crispy gnocchi. Thoroughly enjoyed the kitchen seats and our server could not have been better. Even Christian the owner stopped to say hello and ask about out meal.
2015 Easter Brunch. Brunch was not good. Several dishes were all dried out and cold. Gnocchi was like paste. Lamb & sausage cold. Desserts were a joke. The pizza was the only thing that was decent. For $40/person it was a rip-off! Would not do a repeat visit to this restaurant.

Great experience at Via Vite. Everything was excellent – service, food, atmosphere. We were celebrating my daughter’s birthday and our server was wonderful. She also helped with wine and menu suggestions. Keep up the good work.
So Disappointing. In the past the food has been wonderful, the head chef visited each table in the main dining area, we’ve had great service and felt liked the price was well worth it. Tonight I must say I’m so disappointed. The only good thing I have to say about my experience is that the service was good. That’s it. The food has declined quite significantly. Each salad, soup, entree, and side were lacking an adequate spice or enough salt. Not sure if they are in the process of changing head chefs or what but something is different. Such a shame because the ambiance is good but the quality of food is not worth the price. Hopefully this will be heard and Via Vite will step back up to par and above! Signed, Bummed and Disappointed!
So mediocre. Just finished the Grilled Octopus appetizer. Little tough, completely tasteless. Served with mashed potatoes – a lesson in how to make a bad appetizer.Started the evening ordering a Makers Mark Manhattan. Bartender didn’t know how to make it – had to ask the other bartender. And still managed to screw it up. Going elsewhere for an entree.
Seafood Review. Veal meatball app was good. Skate entree was average, scallops were spoiled and tasted of ammonia. Bartenders were great and apologetic but disappointed after the manager said he tasted another scallop from the kitchen and they were fine. Upsetting someone else is probably going to get foul seafood restaurant tonight as well.
