Anytime, I’m in Cincinnati I have to go by Alabama’s. No one does it better than these folks. You can’t go wrong visiting this place. Think how great your grandmother use to cook? Now consider what her food would have tasted like if she had taken chef steroids… That’s how good these folks can cook. If you don’t try them out it’s your loss.

CARRYOUT ONLY BUT GREAT FRIED FISH!!!. My friend’s whiting was good but a little strong for my taste. But my cod was excellent! The fries were good and the sauteed onions and peppers were delicious but spicy (the packet includes jalepenos). Coleslaw was good (sweet slaw). I recommend getting the fries ‘on the side’ to keep them separate from the fish and the soft, chewy white bread. This isn’t health food, but it’s good for the soul!

Best Fish In Town. With a 97% rating how could this place not be good? It’s actually amazing. The fish is perfect. I love the cod but many prefer the whiting. No place to sit and eat but you might be safer eating it in a different location anyway. If you like fried fish at all you will love the Alabama Fish Bar.
Best fish I’ve had in Cincinnati!. I crave this place practically on a daily basis. I have only had the cod the few times I’ve been lucky enough to get lunch here, and it has been consistently perfect. The fish comes in nice big chunks (none of that fish stick processed stuff) and the pickled veggie side is making my mouth water just to think about it!! I love that they have different sauces/vinegar for you to dress up your dish before carrying it out, including hot sauce, ketchup, mustard, and vinegar (like a proper fish and chippie, no less!). It’s straight forward, no nonsense fishy perfection!
Delicious. I was looking for a replacement for my usual seafood joint and this is IT. I’ve had friends go to this place for about 15 or so years now and have finally made it awhile back. Call ahead if you don’t want to wait in line. Order a bunch to share with your friends, family, etc. It’s worth every single penny. The staff is pleasant.
