Service was ok. Food wad over seasoned and tasted like it was cooked in a dirty kitchen. Also didn’t care for the seating. There was no where to wait to a table to open up.
It’s an odd little neighborhood joint. Is it a bar? Is it Cajun? Or, is it Mexican? Apparently it’s all three! What ever their issues were in the past that caused the poor reviews, they’ve been addressed. My wife had a margarita that wasn’t overly sweet and didn’t come in a bathtub size glass. I tried the house Cabernet because they had it privately labeled. I was surprised how good it really was. We dined on the Cajun side of the menu. I highly recommend the beans and rice, gumbo and the jambalaya. The touffe was fresh but seemed just a little more like Caj-Mex than traditional in its flavor. Next visit we look forward to the pasta and blackened options. NOTE: parents dine there with their small children during traditional dinner hours.
So good! Favorite spot in cincinnati to chill and drink a great beer. They carry Abita beer which is awesome!!! great vegetarian options, I swear by the vegan chili dog. And definitely get the Cajun fries. Always top notch service, highly recommend.
