Really enjoyed this place. Great drink selection and the food was very nice. Loved the calamari and date appetizers. I had the ribeye and it was nicely char grilled. Our server knew her stuff and made ordered and eating much easier.
We had never heard of this place and were pleasantly surprised. We tried the dates which were excellent and the spiced nuts which were addicting but would have been more so if they had been toasted. We also tried the short rib tacos and the duck tacos. These were both really great. The short rib tacos were loaded with succulent short ribs. I’ve never found any tacos so large. The duck tacos had an awesome flavor and were also large. My husband ordered the duck and I the short rib planning to each have one of each but they were so big that we could only eat half of each. We will be back. This was shockingly really good and seems like a secret gem. If you’re headed to Tostados for karaoke, hit this place for dinner or apps before.
We had eaten there twice before and liked the food and the service was pretty good. But both times it was cold in the restaurant and we had to endure much too loud live entertainment which upon request was turned down. Also, both visits were on a Friday or Saturday eve and there were seats available without a reservation as well as quite a few places at the bar. We thought we would be very supportive of a restaurant close to home, so I tried to make a reservation for 20 people on a Friday eve and were shocked that we were turned away! The reason they gave was that they didn’t want to take up that many seats with a reservation on a Friday night! It wasn’t that they had too many other reservations, I asked! …Seriously, I’m bringing 20 people that have never been there and you are going to turn us away when you have seats sitting empty……Obviously you don’t want to fill all of those and win over many new customers that would tell many more…….most all of them use social media and would have done wonders for your biz! They obviously don’t get it!
Buzz is one of my favorite places for amazing food in a relaxing environment. Love the staff. Super passionate about food and their product. One of the best hidden gems in Cincinnati.
Good experience at Buz. My wife and I went to Buz on a Wednesday night after friends of ours suggested to try the new Columbia Tusculum restaurant. To our pleasant surprise, Wednesday is half priced wine night so we indulged in some of our favorite wines. (I recommened trying the Dreaming Tree.) Our waiter suggested the pork belly flatbread and the short ribs for our entrees. Both were flavorful and delicious. Buz has a limited menu, but looking forward to try the other items on their menu.
