I go for a turtle at Gomez at least once a week, in my opinion they’re the best thing on the menu- customizable and filling, super tasty with their chips and salsa! Despite being moderately-very busy during lunch, I’ve never waited more than ~15 minutes for my food.
Rated like a big sloppy mish mash mush. I got a sandwich with fish but the fish was heavily battered, soggy, and it was blackened, which the menu did not mention. The blackening made it taste very burned and was greasy and overly seasoned. Husband got tacos which were overfilled and over soggy. Neither of us finished more than a few bites. Will never go back and I would not recommend.

Gomez Salsa was delicious! This place is a hidden treasure in OTR. Mexican Street food on steroids. I could only eat half of a chicken turtle with Gomez sauce….amazing! The turtle is huge portion for only $8 or $9 bucks. Great experience. Will definitely go back. The only thing to take in consideration is that you order from a walk up window. This is not a dine in restaurant, food is ordered to go.
Best Tacos in Town. Gourmet tacos in the heart of OTR. I’d recommend the turtle shell (load it up, the bigger the better), and grabbing a beer a Half-Cut next door. You can order from the window, and Gomez’s will bring the food over to Rhinehaus or Half-Cut when it’s ready. All the ingredients are fresh, and prepared to order. Easy to support local business when they pump out fantastic food like this. If you like spicy, the Kowabunga sauce is the way to go.
