I am always wanting to go to Shadeau because of their bakery items. I rarely get that opportunity. So, when my mom has their bread for her meals that i am invited to, i pig out. LOL.I am not a bread or pastry fan, but I am not stupid. i eat the good stuff.
Best bakery in Cincinnati. Shadeau Breads is the best bakery in Cincinnati, bar none! Their breads are hearty, wholesome, and perfectly-executed. And their pastries are the best I have had anywhere. I will drive miles for one of their bear claws! The service is friendly, and the prices are quite reasonable.
Should Be Good, But Isn’t. My take on Shadeau is that they are trying to be too many things to too many people. They have an excellent selection, but their quality is questionable. I know bread purist look down on baguettes, but if you’re going to offer one, please make sure it has a real crust.
Decent bread but horrible service. I would love to write an awesome review for Shadeau but the inconsistent (at best) service really overshadows the food. Be prepared for a long wait and indifferent and occasionally rude staff.
