Made a quick reservation same day. We were cutting it very close trying to eat here before an event. Service was prompt and courteous. Food was amazing. We had to hurry out but hope to return for a more leisurely dinner. We had the bay scallops appetizer w/ grilled bread (so good), the halibut and the risotto w/ pork belly. Risotto was cooked perfectly.

Good addition to OTR. We went to dinner last night before the symphony. Overall we were very happy with dinner. Zach took very good care of us. My wife and I both had the butternut squash soup and then we split a beet salad. Both were very good. Our main courses were short ribs and halibut. The wife loved the short ribs and I liked the halibut very much. I thought the portions might be smallish but we had plenty to eat. Did not even have room for dessert. Overall we were very happy with our meal. We’ll be back.

Great atmosphere. Even greater service. The ambiance is amazing–it’s very well lit and feels extremely cozy. The food was packed full of flavor and menu items did not disappoint. The service was beyond incredible. They were attentive without being overbearing, which is a hard balance for a lot of restaurants. They were always available and kept us updated regularly while waiting for a table. I will definitely be returning.

My new favorite place. Absolutely everything is delicious! I can’t decide on my favorite dish but I’ve gotten the ricotta bread every time and Ithe chocolate dessert with bacon and bananas is amazing

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to The Mercer OTR! I have to eat gluten free and was thrilled that they now offer a gluten free menu that has so many options! The location is super easy to get to and the restaurant itself is so fresh and modern inside. I ordered The Vesper off the cocktail list and was pleasantly surprised at how fabulous it tasted! I learned that the bar makes all of its mixes by hand every day – no pre-purchased mixes here! The wine list and beer list were a vast array of different options. We started with the charcuterie appetizer, which had 3 different types of meat, pickled veggies, marinated olives (which were AMAZING), and marcona almonds. It was delicious! Next we had our salads, I had the beet salad and my husband had the endive salad. The beet salad was amazing – multiple colors of beets, with a goat cheese mousse, and a lite dressing. It was perfect! The endive salad was delicious as well, it had honey crisp apples, watercress, pecans, and of course the endive. I ordered the risotto with pork belly, which was outstanding!!! It had slices of truffles on it, which providing this amazing fragrance as you ate it. I can’t say enough about that dish. My husband got the short ribs, which were also amazing! The ribs were tender, but still had chew, the polenta was perfect. The crispy roasted potatoes were a little overdone and not really necessary for the dish. For dessert, my husband got the tiramisu – it was very good! I had the chocolate ganache with crispy bacon, freeze dried banana bits, vanilla ice cream, and bruleed bananas. It rocked my world. I can’t wait to go back to The Mercer OTR and will be bringing friends along with us. I wish I could have taken some of those olives home! Still can’t stop thinking about them. 🙂
