I wish I liked this place. It’s for a good cause and if it had better management, customer service and food, it would be a great asset to the neighborhood. I stopped in for a quick slice. There were only three other customers in there and about twice as many staff behind the counter. It took about five minutes for someone to tell me if I could order a slice, which should have been the tip-off because it took 15 additional minutes for the slice to reach my table. The customer service is terrible with employees who seem utterly clueless although they were very friendly. The pizza slice was small which was fine since it tasted like something that came out of a frozen box and I could not eat it. This joint needs a serious overhaul.

Good cheap food. I’m surprised at how often I find myself at Venice. The pizza isn’t the best pizza in town, but it’s tasty enough, and you can’t beat the prices. And I like the warm fuzzy I get from knowing it’s all in a good cause. It’s a job training program, and the employees are pretty much always new- so the service is sometimes slow but always trying hard and polite. Definitely the best cheap slice in the downtown area.
Cute. Very cute place I found on Vine St.! Wasn’t expensive and i’m a huge pizza fan so of course i loved it. You should definitely try a classic pepperoni if you ever stop by
I’m a patient and understanding guy but an hour for a few items when you are the only one in the restaurant plus it’s wrong. Come on.
Very good, very friendly service. Excellent pizza in a very clean, simply furnished dining room.
