Incredible! I can’t believe it took me so long to finally dine here, I practically drive past it to work every day. Regardless, the food was phenomenal and the service was even better. As a diner with food allergies, I often judge restaurants based off their attentiveness and willingness to cater. The server was extremely friendly and went to find the list of ingredients for the fisherman’s salad plate. I’m glad she did – I was safe to order it and I am tempted to go back again (the next day) to order another! Fresh and filling. My mom and I split a side of sweet potato fries, which were perfect – not too big, too mushy, too crispy, or greasy. Overall a great lunch. Super easy to fit it in for an hour work lunch.
We went for the Oyster Festival and it was excellent!! The food was great and our server Wendy was really attentive without being pushy! The roasted oysters were very flavorful and the sampler platter was excellent. The chicken tenders were hand breaded and the honey mustard was homemade. They had the Buffalo Ridge Dixieland Band playing fun jazz music. It was a great night out!
We really like this place, been going for years but miss the perogies!!! Please, for the love of god, bring them back!!!
Stay Away. Never again. I don’t know why we go back to Washington Platform. My husband likes oysters. The oysters at WP are teaspoon-sized and overpriced. The service is terrible. This evening we had Melissa, who ignored us while chatting with a customer at the bar. We asked the busboy to put in the order for the oysters. Melissa brought the oysters but didn’t pause to ask about dinner orders. The Manager took our dinner order when we flagged him down. Melissa brought the order to us. When we asked about bread, she said there wasn’t any. Then she spent 15 minutes chatting with the next table. When she reappeared I asked her about the blue cheese for the salad, listed on the menu. She ignored the question. I got an earful about someone not showing up for work and how overworked she was. She complained about Bockfest. I told her that wasn’t our problem, and all I expected was a simple apology. At that point she walked away. We have had this experience the last three times at WP, twice with Melissa. We won’t be going back. Kudos to the busboy and Manager who picked up the slack.
Bad experience. We went in specifically for stone crabs advertised during crab fest, didn’t have, friends ordered crab pasta primavera, wrong pasta than advertised, another lame excuse from staff, they are not picky, but said it wasn’t good. We spent close to 100.00 ea. and was asked to leave because they needed the table for a large group. My and husbands food was just ok, but we never have been asked to leave anywhere. Smart Alec server got a good tip anyway
Oysters!! In Ohio!!! Ahmazing ! Love!!
Just OK. Our table also ordered a variety of menu items, since it was our first time. The oysters on the half shell were sloppily shucked and everyone at the table had tons of shell fragments in every slurp. The Caesar wings tasted like straight mild wing sauce. When I tried to ask the waiter if the wings had been mixed up, since the sauce was so spicy, he glanced at the wings and said no – the Caesar is always mixed with hot sauce (not the same sauce I had tried previously which were delicious at Cincinnati Wing Fest). They are rather large wings and good for the price though. The crab quesadilla was pretty good and the sauce on top was delicious, but it was an extremely small portion and filling was haphazardly through in the tortilla. The pretzel buns used for the fried chicken was possibly from Kroger and was not an actual pretzel bun, but rather a regular dough. I don’t believe I will return to this restaurant, since the price was a little much for a lack of quality. I wish the service and quality that was shown at Wingfest would have been similar to that of the actual restaurant. If so, I would return frequently.
