  For a mall pizza, this place is awesome. I personally think it compares to most pizza chains. Everything I’ve tried has been great tasting. The food is always fast, hot and fresh. The staff are friendly and prices are reasonable.

  I tend to avoid Pizza di Roma when I am at Eastgate Mall, not because of any bad experience,s but rather because I love the teriyaki chicken at Yihi Japan so much that my meal money ends up getting spent there instead. Today, i decided to break with that tradition and give some of the stuff here a tryNow, I am not a big fan in general of pre-made italian food sitting around and getting reheated on order. I think the crusts suffer as the crispy parts absorb moisture and become soft, or the soft parts dry out and become brittle. The places that have a lot of turnover get away with this a lot more because the food doesn’t have a chance to change texture since their isn’t as much time elapsed between in the oven and in the stomachI was pleasantly surprised here. This place doesn’t seem to have a lot of turnover, but I still felt I was getting a decently good meal on the two things I tried. The garlic roll was hot, soft, and slightly crisped on top, while the calzone has the slight crispness on the outside and good inner chew one expects form a freshly made calzone. While I know for certain the food here could be better if it was all freshly made, I know thats not their business model – its all about getting hot food to the customer quickly, and I think that they hit this target about as well as then can for this type of food.
