Horrible Customer Service. We heard some bad things about this little place in Amelia but decided to try for ourselves. We waited for 30,min for our food. When I told the server my waffle was not fully cooked and asked If she could bring me just a pancake or something she replies….well it will get put in at the end of all the other tickets so its going to be a while, just let the cashier know and she will take it off the bill. We proceeded to cash out explained our experience and were told….. Well we aren’t McDonalds. Funny thing is I would have received better service from McDonalds. Didn’t discount our bill or offer any type of solution. We will Never Return!
Michael & Pat Garrett. ‘Don’t know why we didn’t write a opinion sooner than now. My wife and I have been going to eat at Poochie’s since it opened over a year ago. The food is consistently great, home cooked quality! The atmosphere is ‘Family’. You come in more than once, and they remember you’ve been in before. QUITE a large group of Regulars, which, to me, says that it’s a good place to eat, and come back to. The meat is from a Local Kentucky(?) farmer. NATURAL; none of that antibiotic, hormone injected, whatever ‘they’ do to meats these days, that you get in most other restaurants. EVERYTHING is made FRESH each day. AND, She makes some of THE best desserts worth the calories! Now, no place is perfect. So, if you go and something bothers you about your experience, LET Poochie know! And, give it another try. Promise, you won’t be disappointed. It’s great home-cooked style food, in a friendly atmosphere, AND reasonable prices.
Pancake heaven!. Poochie’s serves some of the best pancakes in or near Amelia, Ohio! I wish I could go there more often. My dad enjoys their food and goes there more often… maybe on a regular basis.
The Good, The Bad, and The. The Good: The food is really good. The Goetta items are fantastic and cooked very well. The only issue with food was the gravy for the biscuits, which tasted very canned and artificial. The not so good: I was searching for breakfast to carryout for my family and came across Poochie’s website which was very clear and concise. I called and placed my order, which went ok, but I felt very rushed by the call taker. When I arrived, most of my ordered items were $1 or more more than they were listed on the website. I mentioned this and was told the website was old and they no longer controlled it. While I understand this, in this digital age, I am sure this will happen more than once and it is a bit frustration.The bad: My order was missing my son’s chocolate milk. No big deal. What was a bigger deal was the inadequacy of the kids meal. For a price of almost $5, he got one pancake and 2 very very small pieces of bacon. The western omlette was minuscule compared to comparable establishments and especially for the price. The moral: Decent-Good food, Above Average prices for quality, mediocre service, and frustrating ordering. I would eat here again, but would not order carryout due to the frustration and pricing.Order: 2 Goetta Egg B-fast Sandwiches $3.76 eachOne full order Biscuits and Gravy $6ishOne Kids Meal $4.50+One Western Omlette $7ish+
My experience at Poochie’s was awful along with the service and food.I ordered a classic cheese burger it was cold by the time I received it.The cashier just let my order sit there on the counter.She acted like she didn’t want to serve me she was rude.I will never go back again.
Never Again. Food was horrible. Smelled like someone took a dump. That’s not the worst thing though, Some old gezzer came out of the kitchen with his pants open, hands down them and then zipped them as he came out to sit at the table right next to us. We promptly paid and left. Will never, ever, ever return!
Nice for laid back brunch. Eaten here a few times, everyone is very nice and food is alway good, nothing great but nice brunch place
