Great little place! Walked in with no reservation. Seated in about 10 min. Great atmosphere. Casual menu. Great beer selection. Had Salmon with green beans. Great service. Will absolutely return.
Without a doubt I will not return here. Was seated at 8:10 and have yet to receive nothing more than our drinks. The waitress made it a point to state that the kitchen was backed up due to a large top table for some special gathering around 45 mins of waiting. I informed the manager to no avail. I don’t feel it necessary to comment on the food due to the fact that I may never eat it before they decide to close. Absolutely a waste of time. Please refrain unless you don’t mind waiting for a very long time.
I went yesterday with my family. I heard great things about the restaurant and was looking forward to a wonderful meal. I was disappointed in the service it took a long for our meals to be served and the waitress forgot to place my husbands order. My salmon blt was ok disappointed with the apple fennel coleslaw too heavy on the mayo. Others in my party ordered the shrimp. They said it was good but at 17.00 and only 4 shrimp was not worth the price. Others in my party ordered the burgers and they said they were very good. One person raved about the crab chowder however the shepards pie was disappointing a little on the dry side not very flavorful and did not have a crispy top as described on the menu. Would I return probably not. I would tell my friends to stick to the burgers.
Sunday lunch. Went for lunch 2pm 8/11 four of us where refused a table in the shade i was told they save them for bigger parties no one else came after we where seated and only three tables where in use. bad idea on staff part 80 in the HOT sun will never return
Special little place. I took my fiance and parents to Stone Mad Pub last night for dinner for the first time. We were greeted at the door by a very gregarious and humorous gentleman who showed us who to talk to about our reservation and even opened the door for us. We checked out the outdoor patio, which is gorgeous, before being seated at our table inside. The place is just beautiful. I’ve been looking for an Irish feeling pub since Sullivan’s in Lakewood closed, and Stone Mad fits the bill decor-wise. Sadly, the menu isn’t really Irish, but the food was excellent. My parents had the brisket sandwich, which they raved about. I had the smoked pork chop which was quite tasty, but what really stole the show was the sauteed red cabbage that comes with it. Everyone at the table tried it and we were all incredulous that anyone could make red cabbage taste that sultry and amazing. We also ordered a pizza to nibble on and take home since they have a stone pizza oven, and that too was delicious. Our waitress was super nice and attentive, even though it was fairly busy. I would definitely go back, maybe on a week night when it’s hopefully a little slower and I can get on the adorable bocce court they have in the back room!
Was there last Friday for the first time. Absolutely great. First our server Travis was outstanding. We were on the patio and that was great. All the food was great. I had a stuffed banana peppers stuffed with sausgae, cheese, and corn laid over a marinara saucethat was just great. My main dish was a pork chop with their own barbaque sauce made with Guiness and Stone Mad potatoes.OUTSTANDING!!! I only wish there was more of both.My wife had a salad and a pizza from their fire burning oven. The pizza was great as well. My wife had 2 glasses of wine and I just had a soft drink. And before I forget about the pickles they bring out with the drinks. Really good as well.Overall great experience, I would recommend to anyone.Dinner and drinks came out to 61.00We will be back with friends and we will ask for Travis again.
Ok, so I typically enjoy this place. I’ve not been disappointed with the food or drinks, but unfortunately tonight I had a very poor experience with a very curt server. It was especially unfortunate because the food was so good to everyone that had she had a better attitude, she would have gotten the tip she was obviously after as she made a point to mention to my friend that she had given the best tip! And this was even before I had signed my check! Misery loves company, I guess and she most certainly put a damper on what otherwise would have been an excellent dining experience.
