What do you people expect? …. What do you people expect?Fast food? This isn’t a microwave farm like Applebee’s. Sit down, take in the scenery, have a cup of coffee and chill. Patience is a virtue. Get the chicken and waffles and leave full and happy. I’m not affiliated with the mill, but have eaten there many many times for breakfast and dinner and never had anything but great service. It may take an hour to get in and out but in Clifton and surrounding areas you’re in the country. No need to rush or don’t go, that’s it.
This is a total tourist trap. Don’t be lured by the scenery unless you are just stopping in for drinks because the food and service are deplorable. We were 5 and everyone’s breakfast was cold and flavorless and one of our friend’s didn’t even receive his meal until we were done eating-this is the 2nd time this has happened to us at this place. The staff was unapologetic and made us feel like we were a bother from the moment we got sat. So disappointing and overpriced.
Very Pleasant Experience. Our family and friends always enjoy the relaxed atmosphere at the Clifton Mill and the wonderful breakfast.
Great breakfast spot! Beautiful historic setting And pancakes the size of a frisbee
Disappointed. I really wanted to like this place. We went late, 7ish, on a Sat. evening after a day at the outlets. I had two of the butter milk pancakes. If you only go on size, they’re incredible but they had absolutely no taste for me. Service was lackluster and I felt like we were being a bother. There were 5 of us and everything was unremarkable. We won’t be going back.
Arrived early for a late breakfast. 5 of us visited on a Sunday morning around 9:30. We didn’t leave until 11 and all ordered basic breakfast items. While pancakes are delicious and enormous, not quite worth the wait. The scenery is beautiful but the service leaves something to be desired.
Wonderful Food & Beautiful Location. Clifton Mill is a one of a kind experience. This historic grist mill is worth the drive. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner.
